Stavros Gasparatos was born in Patras in 1975. He studied classical and jazz guitar at the Filippos Nakas conservatory. He has also studied mechanical engineering at Patras Technological University and at the same time he has followed sound engineering seminars, and since 2000 he owns the professional recording studio, studio123. In 1998 together with Alexandros Tsilfidis they founded the music group gyro gyro. Since 1997 Stavros Gasparatos has been working as a music composer, arranger, music producer and sound engineer.

The year 2006 he participated as a member of the dance group (as music composer and sound designer) in the E.U. program i-map (Integration of Media, Arts and Performance), working with: De Waag institute (Amsterdam), Interspace Media Center (Sofia),Interaktionslabor (Gotelsbork) (watch promo video)

In June of 2009 he composed the music for the opening ceremony
of the New Acropolis Museum (watch video), directed by Athina Tsagari.
In December of 2009 he was awarded with the “Young Artist Distinction” by the union of Greek theater and music critics.
