Oedipus is the first son of a cursed royal family of the City of Thiva. His birth is marked by a terrible owe. His father, Laius, King of Thiva and his mother Queen Jokaste are informed by the priest of Delph that their first born son will assassin his father and marry his mother. Desperate, they leave the child in the hands of a shepherd with the order to let it die in the woods. However, the man takes pity on the newborn and hands it over to a friend from Korinthos. Finally, Oedipus is adopted by the royal, sterile, couple of Korinthos and the dark secret of his ancestors is well kept. Time passes and during a fight with a friend, young Oedipus is called a "bastard". Determined to reveal the secret of his origin, he asks the Sanctuary of Delph. He receives the same owe, the one his original parents did: you will assassin your father and marry your mother. Overwhelmed, considering as his natural parents the royal couple of Korinthos, he decides to abandon his city and to take the opposite direction leading, fatally, to the City of Thiva. During his odyssey, in a country road a carriage blocks his way and the tempered young man does not hesitate to start a fight. During which he kills the carriage's driver and his only passenger. Destiny prevails! The dead passenger is his natural father, Laius, the King of Thiva.
Soon after King's loss, the City of Thiva comes up against a mythical monster called Sphinx. The man who will manage to free the City from this terror will be named King and marry the widow Queen. This man will be Oedipus. After years, Oedipus has two sons and two daughters with Queen Jokaste and he becomes a good King. However, Destiny has not yet played all its cards. Plague falls over people of Thiva, grows fast and triggers an enormous tragedy. Why Gods are so angry with people of Thiva? Where is their mercy? Who is responsible for this catastrophe? King Oedipus once again is heading for the Sanctuary of Delph searching for an answer. And now the Destiny's game is revealed: his true identity is unveiled. It is beyond human's nature to endure this truth. With the needle that is holding his royal dress, he blinds himself and his story is not yet over...
